The West Lake Pomelo Blossom Art Festival was grandly held on April 5th, with the theme "Step by Step, Flowers Bloom, Pomelo Fragrance Wafts." The event invited the public to enjoy the beauty of pomelo flowers in the spring. Xihu Township boasts natural scenery and rich cultural heritage, with traditional agriculture primarily focused on rice; however, it has actively promoted pomelo cultivation for nearly 50 years. On the day of the event, shuttle buses around the village, hiking activities, musical performances, and parent-child DIY activities were provided. Visitors could enjoy the unique features of Xihu along the way and participate in games to receive rewards. Tourists could purchase tickets at the Lake East Activity Center and enjoy the wonderful springtime life.

The 114th West Lake Grapefruit Flower Art Festival will grandly open on April 5, showcasing beautiful moments filled with grapefruit fragrance during the hiking activities at West Lake.

Located on the west side of the Miaoli Hills, Xihu Township in Miaoli County boasts rich natural landscapes, including lush mountains, clear streams, and fertile plains, making it a treasure full of cultural heritage. Traditional agriculture in Xihu primarily revolves around rice cultivation, but half a century ago, Hudu Village began to widely cultivate grapefruit. With the support of the Xihu Township Office and the agricultural association, the "Grapefruit Flower Art Festival" gradually became a distinctive tourism event. Every year from March to April, when the grapefruit flowers bloom, the sweet fragrance of grapefruit blossoms fills the air in Xihu, inviting everyone to temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy the little joys of living in this vibrant spring season.

To attract more visitors, the Xihu Township Office and agricultural association held a press conference yesterday morning and launched the "Step onto the Floral Path" event. On that day, the sun shone brightly, filling the mountains with the fragrance of grapefruit flowers. The event, themed "Step by Step in Bloom, Leading Grapefruit Fragrance," will kick off a series of activities in Xihu Township on April 5 from 8 AM to 5 PM, including Hakka cultural walking tours, grapefruit flower hiking fun, grapefruit flower music feast, Hakka market, parent-child DIY, and grapefruit flower treasure hunt.

On the day of the event, five medium buses will be provided for tourists to tour around West Lake, with guides along the route introducing the unique cultural and artistic attractions and leisure farms in Xihu, allowing visitors to experience the slow-paced lifestyle of Hakka culture. Xihu Township is not only rich in culture but also boasts enchanting natural scenery. However, due to its vast terrain and winding mountain roads, the use of medium-sized buses will be particularly convenient.

In previous years, the shuttle buses for the grapefruit flower festival have been beloved by the public. This year's route will pass through various stops, including Yifang Farm, Jinlong Kiln, Wu Zhuoliu Arts and Culture Museum, Longshou Bridge, and the community shop of the Xihu Township Agricultural Association, forming an interconnected travel route. Those wishing to participate can purchase bus tickets at the main venue of the Hudu Multifunctional Activity Center at 8:30 AM on the day of the event, with each ticket priced at 100 NT dollars, inclusive of a 60 NT dollar voucher. The unmissable "Grapefruit Flower Hiking Fun" activity will begin at 8:30 AM, where participants can collect game cards at the main venue service desk, limited to one per person while supplies last.

Along the way, five game stations will be set up. Each time a participant passes a station, they can collect a stamp, and collecting all five stamps will allow them to redeem a 60 NT dollar cash voucher at the main venue, as well as participate in a lottery and receive saplings and other gifts. The cash vouchers can be used in specified sales areas as cash discounts.

The "Grapefruit Flower Music Feast" will take place on the main stage, featuring multiple performers bringing Hakka folk songs to everyone. There will also be musical performances by the Xuhong Eight Sounds Troupe at the parking lot of Dawo Grapefruit Mountain. The blend of floral fragrance and music will allow hikers to leisurely appreciate the changes of nature.

While hiking up Grapefruit Mountain and visiting local attractions, citizens can also pay attention to whether they can find the presence of grapefruit flowers, search for hidden grapefruit flower cards, and exchange them for small gifts at the main venue service desk, but supplies are limited and available while stocks last.
