In the context of increasing military threats from China, military exchanges between Taiwan and the United States have become closer. Last year, Taiwan's Army Infantry 333 Brigade sent personnel to the United States for training and collaborated with U.S. military forces during the exercises. Legislator Wang Ding-yu from the green camp shared a training photo, describing the brigade as having American instructors, showcasing a good example of Taiwan-U.S. military cooperation. The Infantry 333 Brigade has a long history and is stationed in Pingtung, responsible for counter-assault and anti-infiltration missions. In 2023, it participated in the Northern Strike exercise in the U.S., observing tactical training. The first of the 66 F-16V fighter jets procured from the U.S. has already rolled off the assembly line, with delivery expected to be completed by 2026, enhancing Taiwan's defense capabilities.

In the urban battle drill for breaching doors, the 333rd Brigade, known for its long history and honored as "The Best Division in the World," demonstrated its strong combat capabilities. This unit is stationed in Wanan Township, Pingtung County, responsible for counter-assault and counter-infiltration missions. Since 2023, the brigade has sent a hundred troops to Michigan, USA, for training, participating in the Northern Strike exercise organized by the local National Guard Bureau, similar to the training model used by the US military for Ukraine. Taiwan and the US have exchanged operational methods, observed tactical and skill training, and although Taiwan-US military interactions have been an open secret, the exposure of related images has still greatly boosted domestic defense confidence.

Moreover, among the 66 F-16V fighter jets purchased by our country from the US, the first aircraft has officially rolled off the production line. The manufacturer will hold a delivery ceremony at the end of this month, with the Deputy Minister of National Defense and the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force discreetly attending in the US. Although the first aircraft was originally expected to be delivered in the third quarter of last year, delays occurred, and now the good news has finally arrived, allowing the National Defense Force to breathe a sigh of relief, anticipating that all jets will be delivered as planned by 2026 to enhance our national air defense capabilities.
