The Legislative Yuan held a meeting today (the 25th), but due to interference from New Party Deputy Secretary-General 游智彬, the Democratic Progressive Party caucus has boycotted the proceedings so far. The meeting was originally scheduled to end at 6 PM, but during the meeting, the Kuomintang proposed two referendum items: "Anti-Martial Law" and "Anti-Death Penalty," which were pushed directly to the second reading after a long period of maneuvering. The Democratic Progressive Party opposed this, arguing that the meeting was invalid and withdrew from the venue, prompting the Kuomintang to occupy the podium. Ultimately, the "Anti-Death Penalty" referendum was passed with 52 votes in favor, and the "Anti-Martial Law" referendum was also approved with 55 votes in favor.

The Legislative Yuan held a meeting today. Due to the disturbances caused by the New Party’s Deputy Secretary General in the chamber on the 21st, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) caucus demanded a thorough investigation and condemnation from the Legislative Yuan President, resulting in continued boycotting of the proceedings. The meeting was originally scheduled to last until 6 p.m., but the Kuomintang (KMT) and the People’s Party did not vote to extend the meeting, leading the DPP caucus to deem the meeting invalid. After spending an hour and a half contacting personnel, the KMT submitted two referendum proposals for a second reading. The KMT's referendums on "Anti-Martial Law" and "Anti-Death Penalty" were criticized by the DPP as hollow proposals. The boycott at today’s session continued, with DPP legislators gradually withdrawing from the podium and chamber, allowing the KMT caucus to occupy the podium. At around 7:25 p.m., the Legislative Yuan President entered the chamber to announce the meeting's start and coordinated the handling of the two referendum proposals with the KMT and the People’s Party. The DPP caucus secretary-general and senior legislators raised placards claiming that the session was invalid, while KMT lawmakers were attacked. Ultimately, the first referendum proposal "Anti-Death Penalty" passed with 52 votes in favor and 0 against; the second proposal "Anti-Martial Law" also passed with 55 votes in favor and 0 against, sending it for a second reading.
