Leader of the Bamboo Union "么么" Huang Shaochen passed away due to illness, and his designated successor, former Ai Tang leader "扣頭" Liu Zhenan, suddenly went missing, suspected to have fled abroad, prompting former Qing Tang leader "四川" Gao Shichuan and former Di Tang leader "鍾馗" Li Zongkui to express their intention to compete for the leader position. "White Wolf" Zhang Anle has also repeatedly pushed for Zhong Kui to take over as leader, causing internal division within the Bamboo Union. Some elders believe this is a good opportunity to cut ties with the Taiwan United Promotion Party.

It is understood that the most likely candidate for leader "扣頭" Liu Zhenan gained fame over a decade ago for seizing firearms during an event with the vice speaker of Taipei County. The most recent to declare, "鍾馗" Li Zongkui, has also rallied support from Di Tang members while calling for more than 30 chapters to participate in decision-making, and has already received support from Di Tang and Hu Tang. During a media interview, Zhong Kui emphasized that he had long resigned from his position as vice chairman of the Taiwan United Promotion Party and now has no political ties, stating that this competition for leadership is for unity.

Informed sources indicated that initially, Kou Tou was reluctant to assume the leader position, allowing White Wolf to seize the opportunity to strongly advocate for Zhong Kui's succession, resulting in differing support among gang leaders, especially since Zhong Kui's previous role as vice chairman of the Taiwan United Promotion Party raised questions. White Wolf remained undeterred, actively promoting Zhong Kui's leadership through announcements and votes from various chapters, but this triggered internal backlash, with gang members concerned that this could lead to a new wave of law enforcement crackdowns.

In fact, White Wolf hosted a dinner at Kangyuan Restaurant originally intending to announce Zhong Kui's succession, which drew the government's attention, leading the restaurant to proactively cancel the reservation and subsequently decide to close for a day.
