On the afternoon of the 15th, Korean Air's flight BX796, which was scheduled to depart from Kaohsiung to Busan at 2:15 PM, was canceled due to mechanical issues. A total of 195 passengers were left waiting at the airport for hours, only to be informed that their flight had been canceled, leading to significant disappointment and dissatisfaction among them.

Passengers began boarding around 1:50 PM but were soon asked to disembark. Many were stunned as they had not even settled in their seats when they received the announcement. It emerged that there was a fault with the aircraft’s front wheel, necessitating the replacement of parts. However, even after a replacement, a discrepancy in the sizes of two wheels required further inspection, ultimately resulting in the cancellation of the flight.

The long wait left passengers disgruntled with the airline's handling of the situation, expressing their expectation for accommodation or compensation, which they did not receive.

Those who had specifically arranged their schedules to travel abroad found themselves facing this unexpected delay. While everyone understands that flight safety comes first, the disruption to their travel plans and enjoyment was considerable.
