The Taipei City Department of Finance Taxation Office announced that the usage license tax for private cars and motorcycles will be collected starting on April 1, with the payment deadline set for April 30. If individuals do not receive their payment notices, they can check online and request a reissue, or handle the payment through mobile applications and automated service machines. Taxes of below 30,000 NTD can be paid at designated convenience stores, and mobile payment options are available. Vehicle owners can also apply to consolidate payment notices for multiple vehicles, and electric vehicles are exempt from the usage license tax until the end of the year.

The Taipei City Department of Finance's Taxation Office stated that the vehicle license tax for privately owned cars, motorcycles, and business vehicles will be collected starting from April 1 this year, with the payment deadline ending on April 30. If the public has not yet received the payment slip or has lost it, they can visit the local tax online reporting website, select "Online Tax Payment and Electronic Transmission Service," and input "license plate number and uniform number" to check their tax payment status. Additionally, the public can apply for a reissuance of the payment slip at any of the 12 branch offices or stationed Taipei City vehicle inspection offices, including Shilin Inspection Station.

At the same time, the tax automation service kiosk also provides a convenient reissuance service for payment slips. The public can use their personal identification certificate, business certificate, or registered health insurance card for identity verification and log into the system for reissuance. For payment, they can use credit cards (no signature required for amounts under NT$3,000), mobile payments, or scan a three-segment barcode using the Taipei Pass app to complete the tax payment.

The Taxation Office pointed out that to facilitate public tax payment, besides scanning the QR code on the tax bill (marked with "TWQR" as a common designation) for online tax payment, it also supports various electronic payment methods such as mobile payments and electronic payments. Additionally, vehicle owners with taxes under NT$30,000 can go to convenience stores like 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, and OK mart. Besides cash payment, they can also use credit cards or mobile payments, and the public is reminded to request a transaction detail receipt (small white slip) and properly keep the payment receipt with the convenience store stamp.

To save energy and reduce carbon emissions, vehicle owners can apply to consolidate the vehicle license tax payment slips for vehicles registered in the same city or county under one household. Each payment slip can list up to five vehicle numbers. Applications can be made online through the "Local Tax Online Reporting Application Portal" under the "Vehicle License Tax Consolidation Application." Furthermore, electric vehicles are exempt from the vehicle license tax until December 31; electric vehicles registered in Taipei automatically enjoy tax exemption without the need for application.
