Influenced by the rebound in the U.S. stock market, heavyweight stocks like 台積電 (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) and 聯發科 (MediaTek) performed well, closing at 990 yuan and 1,525 yuan, respectively, driving the index up. Although small and medium-sized stocks opened high, they still faced selling pressure.
