It is reported that the president of the "Chinese Unification Promotion Party" originally planned to hold a vote for the leader of the Bamboo Union at the Kangyuan Restaurant this evening (25th), inviting heads of 35 Bamboo Union chapters to participate in the voting and dining event. The DPP caucus secretary-general confirmed that Premier Su Tseng-chang has instructed the Ministry of the Interior to take necessary action, emphasizing that public authority cannot be challenged, leading the Legislative Yuan to urgently announce the closure of the restaurant for tonight.

The Executive Yuan also confirmed the matter earlier, with a spokesperson stating that Premier Su Tseng-chang learned this afternoon that gang members would be holding a banquet at the Legislative Yuan's Kangyuan Restaurant, emphasizing that "the Legislative Yuan is an important face of the country, and the restaurant absolutely cannot become a meeting place for gangs." He requested the Ministry of the Interior to handle related matters properly. The Ministry of the Interior then reflected national image and security considerations to the Legislative Yuan, resulting in the Legislative Yuan asking Kangyuan Restaurant to cooperate with the handling.
