The Legislative Yuan's Kangyuan Restaurant recently made a sudden decision to close for a day. The leader of the Bamboo Union, "Mei Mei" Huang Shao-Cen, passed away last month. The former "Ai Tang" leader "Kou Tou" Liu Zhen-Nan was said to be taking over as the new leader, but he went missing, suspected of fleeing abroad to avoid scrutiny. This has led to internal competition among high-ranking members of the gang, such as "Sichuan" Gao Shi-Chuan and "Zhong Kui" Li Zong-Kui, who are both vying for the position of leader. Currently, "Kou Tou" is the most likely successor, but White Wolf Zhang An-Le is attempting to promote "Zhong Kui," which has caused divisions within the gang. Some members are concerned that these developments may provoke police crackdowns. White Wolf had originally planned to hold a public announcement at the Kangyuan Restaurant, but due to government attention, the restaurant chose to cancel the event and move it to Xiu Xiang Yuan, leading the gang members to rally around "Kou Tou."

However, Liu Zhenan suddenly went missing, suspected to have gone abroad to avoid the spotlight. As a result, former Qing Tang leader "Sichuan" Gao Shichuan and former Di Tang leader "Zhong Kui" Li Zongkui began competing for the position of gang leader. "White Wolf" Zhang Anle repeatedly emphasized support for Zhong Kui, leading to signs of division within the Bamboo Union. Some big bosses believe this presents a good opportunity to completely sever ties with the Unification Promotion Party.

Reportedly, the most likely candidate to succeed as gang leader is "Kou Tou" Liu Zhenan, who gained notoriety over a decade ago by seizing a gun at a rally hosted by Taipei County Vice Speaker Chen Hong, quickly becoming a well-known figure in the underworld and therefore enjoying considerable status within the gang. Mei Mei had mentioned multiple times that he hoped Liu would take over as gang leader.

The next to express intentions is "Sichuan" Gao Shichuan, who currently has the support of nearly 30 sub-organizations, including Ren Tang and Tian Tang. His ability to arbitrate and coordinate, along with his respect for the gang members, makes him suitable to lead the Bamboo Union. Additionally, "Zhong Kui" Li Zongkui has called for support from multiple sub-organizations. He stated that he resigned from his Vice Chairman position in the Unification Promotion Party eight years ago and is now hoping to prevent a gang split.

At present, Kou Tou's willingness to take over as gang leader is low, while White Wolf continues to push for Zhong Kui to become the leader. However, the gang bosses have concerns about Zhong Kui's past, leading them to reject him. Nevertheless, White Wolf does not give up, trying to support Zhong Kui as leader through a majority vote from the sub-organizations, which has sparked opposition within the gang. Everyone is worried that this will trigger law enforcement actions again.

White Wolf hosted a dinner at Kangyuan Restaurant, preparing to announce the news of Zhong Kui's succession as gang leader. This action caught the government's attention, prompting the restaurant to proactively cancel reservations and decide to close for one day. Although the dinner was ultimately held as scheduled at Xiu Xiang Yuan Restaurant, this move caused the hesitant gang members to lean more towards Liu Zhenan's side.
