Arranged by the Higher Education International Cooperation Foundation, the delegation is visiting several educational institutions, including the Ministry of Education and National Taiwan Normal University.

Chung Yuan Christian University has long been committed to Chinese language teaching, being the only private university visited by the NCSSFL delegation, which showed great interest in the university's integration of AI technologies into education. President Li expressed hope that the interaction between the two sides could open a new chapter in Taiwan-US educational collaboration and work together to nurture outstanding talents with a global perspective.

The NCSSFL delegation is visiting Taiwan from June 15 to 21, 2025, comprising eight educational officials from various states, including current president Melissa Monroe and vice president Stacy Lyon. They are accompanied by Zhou Huihui, head of the Education Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the US, and Kwan Fangfang, deputy executive director of the Higher Education International Cooperation Foundation. Through discussions with Taiwan's education authorities, they aim to deepen international cooperation in the fields of Chinese language promotion, AI, and humanities education.

During their visit, Deputy International Director Chen Xiaoying briefed the NCSSFL delegation on Chung Yuan's achievements in international exchanges and its internationally recognized features. President Li introduced the university's remarkable developments in artificial intelligence, the integration of humanities and technology, and Chinese language education. To promote intelligent teaching, the university has invested more than NT$16 million in building AI-based classrooms and a metaverse smart classroom, becoming a leader in innovative teaching methods in the country.

Another part of the exchange involved the sharing of the evolution of educational models and challenges by Yuan Qiongzhuang, head of the university's Digital Education Development Division. She emphasized how the university leverages AI technology to enhance the efficiency of Chinese language teaching. Professor Ou Defen, head of the Chinese Language Teaching Center and a member of the College of Applied Chinese Literature, highlighted their dedication to establishing a diverse and forward-looking Chinese language education system in response to the rapidly growing demand for Chinese language learning and the trend of digital transformation.

The NCSSFL delegation specifically focused on the completeness of Chung Yuan's Chinese language proficiency assessment,教材 development, teacher training, and student internship systems during their discussions. They expressed a desire for future collaboration with the university to implement larger-scale language education exchange programs. South Carolina's language supervisor Rocio Zalba showed particular interest in Chung Yuan's involvement in the development of Chinese language teaching materials for American secondary schools, hoping to incorporate these materials into classrooms in the future.

To provide the delegation with a deeper understanding of Chung Yuan's innovative practices in education, administrators from relevant departments, including the International and Cross-Strait Education Division, the Information Processing Division, the Digital Education Development Division, and the General Education Center, were present to share their innovative projects. President Li emphasized the university's exemplary performance in international cooperation, including receiving funding from the European Union's “Monnet Project” and continuously expanding its global academic network.

Through this exchange, Chung Yuan Christian University aims to promote the internationalization of Chinese language education, create a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary learning environment, and develop more innovative collaboration opportunities. The visit by the NCSSFL delegation represents a new opportunity for Chung Yuan in the field of international cooperation in Chinese language education. Both parties will explore deeper collaboration models related to teacher training, digital educational resource development, and international student exchanges, aiming to open new avenues for Taiwan-US language education collaboration.
