Recently, Changhua City Mayor Lin Shih-hsien expressed gratitude towards the Indian Taipei Association and the Republic of China External Trade Development Council for their collaboration in hosting the "Indian Industry Briefing." This event aims to help businesses grasp the economic trends of the rapidly-growing Indian market.

The briefing took place at the Senior Culture and Health Center on Sanmin Road in Changhua City, attracting numerous business professionals and local residents. During the event, the President of the Indian Taipei Association, Yeh Ta-fu, presented on "Current Status and Market Trends of Indian Economic Development," analyzing the present economic situation and the potential for industrial growth in India. According to forecasts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), India is projected to achieve an economic growth rate of 6.8% by 2025, potentially surpassing Japan and becoming the fourth-largest economy in the world.

Mayor Lin pointed out that with India accelerating its infrastructure and industrial upgrades, this presents not only a new market but also a critical point in the supply chain for Taiwan's export-oriented manufacturing. Such a backdrop makes this briefing particularly significant, providing a platform for business engagement.

During the event, other experts also shared their insights. This included a presentation by Chen Hsiao-chang, Executive Director of the Taiwan New Southbound Global Industry Research Alliance on "India Unveiled: New Frontiers for Taiwanese Manufacturing"; Yeh Ta-fu's discussion on "Understanding India: Capturing Business Opportunities"; Ji Chen-chi, Manager at the Germany Northern Technical Monitoring Consultancy's Industrial Services Division, discussing "India BIS Product Inspection: Key to Entering the Indian Market"; and Chen Wan-ching, Secretary-General of the Republic of China's World Citizen ESC Sustainable Business Association, presenting on "Resource Network to Advance into the Indian Market." After the session, attendees engaged in discussions with the public, exchanging insights.

Mayor Lin is concerned about the industrial development in Changhua County and has, in addition to hosting this Indian Industry Briefing, also continuously held forums in collaboration with the industry and academia regarding unmanned aerial vehicles and related business opportunities since April.
