In Xuchang, Henan, a father named Mr. Liang has discovered an astonishing truth: the 6-year-old daughter he has raised for years is not his biological child. This shocking revelation has plunged Mr. Liang and his family into deep emotional turmoil.

According to reports, Mr. Liang and his wife have three children together: a daughter born in 2012, a son born in 2013, and another daughter born in 2015. Due to their premarital childbirth, they did not register the children’s births on time and only completed their marriage registration in 2016. However, the couple separated in 2017 due to emotional conflicts, and the wife has unsuccessfully filed for divorce six times. All three children have been solely under Mr. Liang's care, while the mother has shown no interest in their upbringing. The court emphasized that resolving the children’s household registration issues must occur before the divorce.

In an effort to properly register his children's household status, Mr. Liang conducted a DNA paternity test in 2021, which revealed the harrowing truth: his youngest daughter is not biologically related to him. This revelation struck him like a bolt from the blue. Having raised her for so many years, he never doubted her lineage until this moment, a reality that also devastated his parents.

Faced with this unexpected situation, Mr. Liang has to cope with the emotional burden of discovering his daughter is not his biological child while also navigating the complexities of custody and household registration for all three children. He stated that even though his daughter isn't his biological child, he chooses to forgive her because she has no control over her circumstances. Despite his deep sorrow, he hopes to work with his wife to confront the issues regarding the children's household registrations.

However, his father-in-law holds a contrary view. He argues that his daughter should have considered the implications of having children with Mr. Liang from the very beginning. Additionally, he criticizes Mr. Liang, accusing him of being highly dependent on his mother and argues that this situation has led to unnecessary emotional and financial strain on the family. He even suggests conducting another paternity test to ascertain the truth.

According to the paternity test results, Mr. Liang is not the biological father of his youngest daughter but does have a blood relationship with the children’s mother. The youngest daughter has also indicated that unless there is a divorce, she will not assist with the household registration issues. In response, Mr. Liang has promised to do everything he can to resolve the household registration matter as long as he can help his children.
