National Security Bureau Director Hao Ge was accused of "disloyalty" by conspiracy theorists and was dismissed by Trump.
After President Trump met with right-wing conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, the White House proceeded to fire members of the National Security Council and dismissed National Security Agency Director General Paul Nakasone and Deputy Director Mieke Eoyang. Loomer accused them on social media of being "disloyal" to Trump and claimed the firings were due to them being "holdovers from Biden." The changes in the positions of Nakasone and Eoyang may be aimed at eventually separating the management of the NSA and Cyber Command, with Trump intending to appoint a political appointee as the NSA director. Nakasone's tenure lasted just over a year, and he may currently be considering retirement.
